# Create your Hirify workspace

> Create your account, complete your profile, and enter your company details

Three screens stand between signing up and your workspace: your account, your name, and your company. You then complete your profile from the settings.

## Create your account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the sign-up screen">
    The screen is titled **Create your account**. It tells you what comes next: "You'll set up your workspace right after."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your work email">
    The **Work email** field is also used to connect you to your colleagues' workspace if they already use Hirify with the same domain.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a password">
    Use at least 8 characters that mix two types of characters (letters, numbers, capital letters, and so on), or use 12 characters. A strength meter updates as you type. As long as the password isn't strong enough, the submit button stays disabled and the screen tells you what to fix.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    Click **Create my account**. You land on the first setup step.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  If your organization uses single sign-on, don't create a password. Use **Sign in with SSO** on the sign-in screen instead.
</Note>

## Enter your name

The **What's your name?** screen asks for your **First name** and **Last name**. It explains why: "Your name appears on the interview notes you share with your team." Click **Continue**.

## Name your company

<Steps>
  <Step title="Let Hirify look for your colleagues">
    For a moment, the screen shows "Checking whether your colleagues already have a workspace." The search is based on the domain of your email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="If your colleagues are already here">
    The **Your colleagues are already here** screen suggests their organization and shows how many active members it has. Click **Request to join**, or **Create my own organization** if you'd rather have a separate workspace.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Otherwise, name your workspace">
    The **Your company** screen asks for the **Company name**. This name "identifies your workspace and the colleagues you'll invite later." Click **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="If you work on your own">
    Click **I work on my own**. Hirify creates your workspace without asking for a company name.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Once the workspace exists, Hirify reminds you what that means: anyone with an email address on your domain can now request to join it.

## Complete your profile

Click **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar, then open **Profile**. The **Personal information** section notes that this information is "Shown on your interview notes and to your team."

| Field                         | What it's for                                                  |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **First name**, **Last name** | Identify the author of shared interview notes |

| **Role** | Your job title, as free text: "e.g. Developer, Tech recruiter" |
| **Experience level**          | Picked from a list                                             |

Finish with **Save**.

## Good to know

* An account's email address can't be changed. The **Profile** page shows it marked "Can't be changed".
* The **Your company** step only asks for the name. No industry, no company size.
* The **Role** field on the Profile page is a job title. It grants no rights. Your permissions depend on your organization role, described in [Choose each member's role](/en/getting-started/roles-and-access).
* On the sign-in screen, Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn appear disabled and marked "coming soon". You sign in with a password or with single sign-on.
* An account belongs to a single organization.
* Creating a workspace doesn't connect anything. You connect your calendar and your ATS later from **Settings** then **Integrations**, and calling from **Settings** then **Calling**.
