# SmartRecruiters

> Connect SmartRecruiters to Hirify, the permissions to grant, what the integration does, and how to troubleshoot it

Hirify integrates with SmartRecruiters. The integration imports your jobs, candidates, applications, and scheduled interviews. It sends the meeting assistant to those interviews and writes your evaluation and the interview notes back to the candidate profile.

## Connect SmartRecruiters

You need administrator access to SmartRecruiters, where the application and its credentials are created.

    In **Settings**, **Integrations**, **ATS** section, click **Connect** next to SmartRecruiters. The wizard opens on the **Prepare** step.

  <Step title="Create an application in SmartRecruiters">
    The **Open SmartRecruiters** button leads to your admin area. Go to **Apps**, then **OAuth Credentials**, and create a new application. Check every permission the wizard lists. They're detailed below.

    Copy the **Client ID** and **Client Secret** generated by SmartRecruiters. In the wizard, click **I have my credentials**, paste them, and click **Connect**.

If a permission is missing, the wizard shows **Insufficient permissions** and points to the ones to add. Fix the application in SmartRecruiters, then connect again.

Once connected, Hirify subscribes to SmartRecruiters webhooks on its own. Sync runs in real time with no further setup on your side. The first import is described in [Connect your ATS](/en/integrations/connect-your-ats#follow-the-first-import-of-your-talent-pool).

## Permissions

The names below are the ones SmartRecruiters shows when you check the permissions. Hirify only uses the access listed here.

## What the integration does

* **Import**: jobs, candidates, applications with their stage history, scheduled interviews, and resumes.
* **Real-time sync**: changes made in SmartRecruiters reach Hirify through webhooks.
* **Assistant on scheduled interviews**: while this setting is on, an interview scheduled in SmartRecruiters with a Meet or Teams link gets the meeting assistant. See [Interviews from your ATS](/en/interviews/automatic-from-your-ats).
* **Sharing the analysis**: an evaluation signed with your name, with the interview's key takeaways and a required verdict. The interview notes go to the candidate's notes. See [Share the analysis](/en/integrations/send-to-your-ats).
* **Automations**: automatic tags, filling in custom fields, and automatic publishing of the interview notes. See [ATS automations](/en/integrations/ats-automations).
* **Talent pool**: imported candidates feed Assistant, Sourcing, Analytics, and Data reliability.

An interview linked to a SmartRecruiters application shows the application in its **ATS** tab, with a link to the profile in SmartRecruiters.

## Troubleshooting

* **Insufficient permissions when connecting**: the wizard lists the missing permissions. Add them to the application in SmartRecruiters, then connect again.
* **The Fill in ATS fields setting isn't available**: the Access Company Settings permission is missing. Add it to the application, disconnect SmartRecruiters while keeping the data, then connect it again.
* **The interview notes go as a comment on the evaluation**: the connection doesn't have the Send and manage messages permission. Add it the same way.
* **An interview isn't linked to its application**: the interview wasn't scheduled in SmartRecruiters, or its attendees don't match the candidate. Link it by hand. See [Link an interview to an application](/en/integrations/link-an-interview-to-an-application).
* **Sync stopped**: the card shows the message returned by SmartRecruiters. See [My ATS isn't syncing anymore](/en/help/ats-not-syncing).

If the problem persists, [contact support](/en/help/contact-support) with the interview concerned and the SmartRecruiters IDs of the candidate and the application.

## Disconnect SmartRecruiters

In **Settings**, **Integrations**, click **Disconnect** on the SmartRecruiters card. By default, data already synced is kept. Check the box in the confirmation window to delete it as well. * An organization connects one ATS at a time.
* The first import brings in twenty-four months of history.
* A verdict is required to share the analysis to SmartRecruiters.
