# Customize the meeting assistant

> Choose the image the meeting assistant shows participants during your video interviews

When the meeting assistant joins a video meeting, it has no camera and shows a still image. You can replace the default image with your own, in the colors of your firm or your company.

## What participants see

Two things identify the assistant in the meeting.

* **Its name**: "\[First and last name]’s assistant", with the name of the person who scheduled the recording.
* **Its image**: it replaces the video feed. This is what you can change.

The image applies to the whole organization. It's used for all your colleagues' interviews, whoever scheduled the assistant.

## Where to set the image

Click **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar, then open **Integrations**. The **Meeting assistant** section is below the calendars. Its subtitle reads: "Customize the image the assistant shows when it joins your meetings."

<Note>
  Only an administrator or a billing admin of the organization can see this section. If it doesn't appear, ask an administrator to make the change.
</Note>

## Upload your image

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Meeting assistant section">
    A preview appears on the left. Until an image has been uploaded, it carries the **Default image** badge.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Upload an image">
    The button reads **Upload an image** the first time, then **Replace image** once an image is in place. Choose your file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the preview">
    The preview updates and the confirmation "Meeting assistant image updated" appears. The **Default image** badge disappears.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Choose a file that works

The constraints are few but firm.

* Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, and WebP.
* Maximum size: 10 MB. Above that, the upload is refused with the message "The image must be under 10 MB".
* Format recommended by the app: JPEG or PNG in 16:9, 1280 × 720 pixels.

An image with different proportions is cropped and optimized on upload. Start from a visual already framed in 16:9 if you want to be sure nothing important gets cut off.

Think about the context. The image fills a participant tile, often a small one. A readable logo on a plain background works better than a busy composition. The information you owe the candidate is given out loud or in writing before the interview, not on the image.

## Go back to the default image

Click **Restore default**, next to the upload button. The confirmation "Default image restored" appears and the preview goes back to the image that ships with the app, **Default image** badge included.

## Good to know

* The image is sent when the assistant is scheduled. An assistant that's already scheduled keeps the image in place on that day. The change applies to the next ones.
* The image doesn't replace the information you owe the candidate. It's visible during the meeting, but it counts neither as an announcement nor as consent. See [Inform your candidates](/en/trust/inform-your-candidates).
* The setting only concerns video meetings. An in-person interview or a phone call involves no image.
* There's no image per user or per job. One visual applies to the whole organization.
* The name the assistant displays can't be changed.
