# Read results, compare candidates, and share a search

> Read the results by tier, compare candidates side by side, build a shortlist, and decide who on your team can see it

<Note>
  Access: Hub plan.
</Note>

The results screen has two panes: the ranked list on the left and the selected candidate's file on the right. This page walks you through both, then shows how to pull out a shortlist and share it.

## Result tiers

At the top of the list, the **Shortlisted** group gathers the profiles you added to the shortlist. The tiers follow, from best to weakest.

| Group in the list | Badge on the candidate |
| --------------------- | ---------------------- |
| **Strong matches**    | **Strong match**       |
| **Worth considering** | **Worth considering**  |
| **Weak matches**      | **Weak match**         |

A profile only gets **Strong match** when its skills or experience are confirmed and it isn't located far from the job with no stated willingness to relocate. Otherwise it stays **Worth considering**.

Each group header collapses with one click. Once the search is complete, **Weak matches** collapse on their own whenever better tiers exist, to make triage easier.

At the top of the screen, a summary line shows the number of evaluated profiles, the number shortlisted, the count per tier, and, when relevant, how many profiles were ruled out and by which hard filter. Below it, the job's first must-have skills remind you what's being searched for.

## Read a result row

A row holds two pieces of information: the candidate's name and their current job with their company. On the right, four colored dots sum up the four criteria of the file: skills, experience, interview, and logistics. On hover, they give way to a checkbox, the one used for comparison.

The Up and Down arrow keys move the selection through the list, and the file on the right follows.

## Open a candidate's file

Click a row to show the file in the right-hand pane.

At the top, the header shows the candidate's name, a line of facts (current job, company, years of experience, location), and the email address when it's known. Next to it, depending on the profile:

* **View interview**: opens the analyzed interview, if you have access to it.
* **ATS profile**: opens the record in your ATS.
* **Write a message**: prepares a draft, for a candidate linked to an interview.
* **Shortlist**: adds the profile to the search's shortlist. The button changes to **Shortlisted**, and another click removes it.
* **The three-dot menu**: offers **Exclude**.

Below the header, a strip gives the **Verdict**, meaning the tier, then the status of each of the four criteria: **Confirmed**, **Partial**, or **Not observed**. Hover over a criterion to see what it covers, what the file establishes (**Established**), and what's missing (**Missing**).

Then come the profile summary and an origin line saying where the verdict comes from: the interview, with its date and the recruiter who led it, or the ATS record and when it was last updated. For a candidate already considered for the job, that line ends with "Already seen:" and the reason. **Strengths** and **Watch-outs** follow, with three items at most each. Watch-outs also flag a location far from the job with no stated willingness to relocate, and conditions missing from the file, marked **Not provided**.

Each statement ends with its source, which you can click: **Interview** followed by the minute, **CV**, or **ATS record**. A click opens the excerpt: the interview quote with the speaker, the minute, and a **View in interview** link, or the passage from the CV or the ATS record. If the interview belongs to a colleague and you don't have access to it, a padlock marks the source and the screen tells you access is restricted.

## Compare candidates side by side

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the profiles">
    Hover over a row and check the box. Once a profile is checked, the boxes stay visible across the whole list. You can compare up to four candidates.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the comparison">
    From two checked profiles, the **Compare** button appears at the top right with their count. Click it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the table">
    The **Candidate comparison** window puts one candidate per column, with their tier badge, and one row per criterion: **Skills**, **Experience**, **Interview signal**, **Logistics**, then **Strengths** and **Watch-outs**. The sources of strengths and watch-outs stay clickable there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Remove a candidate">
    The cross at the top of a column removes it from the comparison without closing the window.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Build and copy a shortlist

Add the profiles you're interested in with **Shortlist**, in their file's header. They join the **Shortlisted** group at the top of the list. Set aside what doesn't fit: **Exclude**, in the file's three-dot menu, removes the candidate from this search's results. A notification offers **Cancel** if you made a mistake.

Then, in the three-dot menu at the top right of the results, choose **Copy shortlist**. You get a formatted summary, ready to paste into an email or a message. For each profile: name, email address when there is one, source, tier, summary, strengths, and watch-outs.

<Note>
  The copy takes the profiles you shortlisted. If you haven't shortlisted any, it takes the **Strong match** and **Worth considering** tiers, and failing that, all evaluated profiles.
</Note>

The same menu offers **Download as CSV**: a table of the same profiles with, for each one, the score, the tier, the status of the four criteria, whether it's shortlisted, any previous application, unverified conditions, the summary, and the link to the ATS record.

## Private search or visible to your team

You choose the scope before starting the search, with the chip under the input field on the Sourcing home screen. It shows the current setting (**Team** or **Private**) and opens on two options:

* **Visible to your team**: "Everyone in your organization can find it."
* **Private**: "Only you can see this search and its results."

Once the search has started, the chip disappears from the results screen. The scope is fixed for that search. To change it, start a new one with the other setting.

## Share a search link

In the same three-dot menu, **Copy link** puts the search's address on your clipboard. The text under the option reminds you who can open it: any colleague in the organization, or only you if the search is private.

Whoever opens the link sees the search as it is, including the current weights.

From the results, the question field at the bottom of the screen opens the Assistant in a conversation linked to this search and sends it your question about the profiles found.

## Good to know

* **No numeric score is shown on screen.** The tier places the fit with the job as you described and weighted it. It's neither an assessment of the person nor a decision. Only the CSV export includes the calculated score.
* **Excluding only affects this search.** The candidate stays in your talent pool and will come up in other searches.
* **A private search stays private.** The copied link doesn't open it for anyone but you.
* **Nothing is sent to the candidate or written to your ATS.** The shortlist is text you paste wherever you want.
* **A profile with no analyzed interview keeps an unobserved interview signal.** It's missing data, not a bad mark.
