# Write an outreach message

> Generate a first-contact draft tailored to the profile, review it, and copy it

<Note>
  Access: Hub plan.
</Note>

Once you've spotted a profile, Hirify prepares a draft message based on what the candidate's interview actually showed. You review it, correct it if needed, then copy it into the tool you send messages from.

## Where to find it

Open a candidate's file from a search's results, then click **Write a message** at the top of the right-hand pane.

<Note>
  The button only appears for a candidate linked to an analyzed interview. Without an interview, there's nothing to ground the message in, and Hirify doesn't offer to make something up.
</Note>

## Set up the message

The **Write a message** window shows the candidate's name, then four settings.

| Setting       | Options                                                             |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Tone**      | Warm · Formal · Enthusiastic                                        |
| **Channel**   | Email · LinkedIn · SMS                                              |
| **Intent**    | First contact · Follow-up · Next round · Offer · Decline · Check-in |
| **Recipient** | Candidate · Hiring manager · Internal note                          |

The channel changes the expected form. A text message isn't written like an email, and only an email gets a subject line. The recipient shifts the point of view: **Internal note** produces text for your team, not for the candidate.

## Generate and review the draft

Click **Generate draft**. While it's being written, the button shows **Generating…**.

The result arrives in two editable fields: **Subject**, for an email, and **Message**. Review them and correct them directly. The window stays open.

Changing a setting and generating again replaces the draft on screen. If you want to keep a version, copy it first.

## Complete and copy

When the draft needs information Hirify doesn't have, it leaves a placeholder rather than inventing. These placeholders are listed under the message, in **Fields to fill in**. Replace them in the text before sending anything.

Then click **Copy message**. The button changes to **Copied** and you paste the text into your email, your work messaging tool, or your ATS.

<Warning>
  Hirify doesn't send any message. There's no send button in this window, and the only way out is to copy. You're the one who writes to the candidate, from your own tools.
</Warning>

## The same from the Assistant

You can also ask for the draft in a conversation: "Write a draft message for @Name". The **Outreach draft** card shows **Subject**, for an email, and **Message**, both editable, along with the **Fill in before sending:** list. Copy the text straight from these fields.

Below the answer, suggestions such as **Rewrite in a warmer tone** or **Adapt it for LinkedIn** fill in the input field without sending it.

## Good to know

* **The draft is based on the candidate's interview**: signal, strengths, availability. It doesn't pull anything from elsewhere.
* **Nothing is sent, nothing is scheduled.** No delayed sending, no follow-up sequence.
* **Nothing is saved to your ATS.** The draft lives in the window until you copy it.
* **Review before sending.** An outreach message speaks for your employer brand. The tone, the name, and the facts cited deserve a read-through.
* **A rejection is an intent, not a tone.** Choose **Decline** under **Intent** and let the tone set the form.
