# Search Your Entire Talent Pool With Natural Language

> Query your candidate database in plain language with Hirify's AI chat — no boolean strings, no filter menus, just ranked results with transcript evidence.

Talent Pool Chat lets you query your entire ATS candidate database using plain language — no boolean search strings, no stacked filter menus, no advanced query syntax to learn. Type a question the same way you would ask a colleague, and Hirify returns a ranked list of matching candidates, each with evidence drawn directly from their interview transcripts. The more interviews your team captures, the more powerful and precise your talent pool becomes.

## How to Use It

    From the main navigation, click **Talent Pool Chat**. The chat interface opens with a search bar and your most recent query results (if any). No setup is required — Talent Pool Chat indexes all candidates whose profiles have been enriched through Interview Capture.

    Describe the candidate profile you are looking for as you would in a message to a colleague. You can include location, seniority, skills, availability, salary range, and any other criteria. See the [example queries](#example-queries) below for inspiration.

  <Step title="Review Ranked Results">
    Hirify returns a ranked list of matching candidates. Each candidate card displays:

    * **Match score** — how closely the candidate's profile aligns with your query
    * **Matching evidence** — the exact quote or data point from their interview that justifies the match
    * **Key profile fields** — availability, location, and headline skills at a glance

  <Step title="Open the Full Profile in Your ATS">
    Click any candidate card to open their complete profile directly in your connected ATS. From there you can review the full interview transcript, all enriched fields, and the qualification score if a template was applied.

## Example Queries

Talent Pool Chat understands natural language queries at any level of specificity. The following examples illustrate the range of questions you can ask:

You can refine a query at any time by typing a follow-up — for example, narrowing a result set by availability, excluding a location, or adding a seniority requirement. Talent Pool Chat retains the context of your previous query within the session.

## How Results Are Sourced

Every candidate returned by Talent Pool Chat is matched against the structured data and semantic content of their interview transcripts. When Hirify surfaces a candidate, it shows the exact quote or data point from the interview that justified including them in the results. There are no unexplained recommendations and no opaque ranking algorithms — every match is traceable to a specific moment in a real conversation.

This evidence-backed approach means you can trust the results and act on them quickly. If a candidate appears for a query about Salesforce experience, you will see the line from their transcript where they described that experience. If they appear because of their communication skills, you will see the interviewer note or AI assessment that flagged it. Recruitment decisions are grounded in real data, not guesswork.
