Your colleagues already use Hirify. Rather than creating a second workspace, request to join theirs. Once your request is approved, your interview notes are shared with that organization.

Request to join your colleagues’ workspace

The suggestion appears at the Your company step, right after you create your account. Hirify compares the domain of your email address with the domains of existing organizations.
1

Spot the suggestion screen

If it finds a match, Hirify shows Your colleagues are already here, with the organization’s name and its number of active members.
2

Send your request

Click Request to join. The organization’s administrators receive a notification.
3

Or choose a separate workspace

Click Create my own organization to enter a company name yourself.

Track your request

The screen switches to Request sent. It names the organization and explains that an administrator has to approve your access. A Waiting for approval line stays on screen, and the page updates by itself, so there’s no need to reload it. There are two possible outcomes, both notified in Hirify:
  • Request approved: you join the organization and get into your workspace.
  • Request declined: the notification reminds you that you can create your own organization.
You can also back out. The Cancel and create my own organization button withdraws your request and takes you back to creating a workspace.

For administrators: accept or decline

Requests are handled from the Members page. Open it from the menu with your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Manage members.
1

Open the Requests tab

The Requests tab only appears when at least one request is pending. A counter shows how many there are.
2

Accept

The Accept request button opens a confirmation: “They join your organization with the ‘member’ role.”
3

Or decline

The Decline request button warns: “They’ll be notified and can create their own organization.”
A newcomer always joins with the Member role. To give them more rights, change their role from the Active tab once the request is accepted. See Choose each member’s role.

If no organization is suggested

There are three possible reasons:
  • Your email address uses a public domain. A shared public domain proves no link to a company, so Hirify doesn’t suggest joining anyone.
  • None of your colleagues has a Hirify account on that domain yet.
  • Your colleagues use a different domain from yours.
In that case, create your workspace and ask an administrator to invite you. A personal invite works whatever the domain. See Invite a member.

Good to know

  • Only one pending request at a time per organization. A second request is refused until the first one has been handled.
  • The suggestion to join only appears when you create your account, not in the settings. Once your workspace exists, only an invite lets you join another organization.
  • An account belongs to a single organization.
  • If the organization’s subscription has no seat left when the request is approved, the member does join but stays inactive. They then appear in the Inactive tab, and an administrator has to free up or add a seat to activate them.
  • Declining a request blocks nothing. The person can create their own workspace or ask again later.
